David Lannon

Executive Vice President of Operations, U.S. and Whole Foods 365

As executive vice president of operations at Whole Foods Market, David Lannon oversees regional operations, the global communications team, and Whole Foods 365. 

A supermarket industry veteran of more than 30 years, Lannon began his career at Bread & Circus, where he started in produce in 1986 and worked his way up to director of operations. In 1994, Lannon moved to Whole Foods Market’s Northern California Region, where he held various store leadership positions, including store team leader in Palo Alto and San Francisco (Franklin).

In 1996, Lannon was promoted to vice president, and later, president, of the company’s North Atlantic Region, where he played an integral role in overseas development, and specifically in the development of Whole Foods Market’s Kensington High Street store in London. Lannon also played a leading role in the opening of the company’s Columbus Circle store, which launched Whole Foods Market in New York. In 2007, he became president of the Northern California Region, where he was responsible for 36 stores in California and northern Nevada. 

Lannon serves on Whole Foods Market’s executive team with John Mackey, Glenda Flanagan, A.C. Gallo, Jim Sud, Ken Meyer and Jason Buechel.
