Executive Vice President of Operations, U.S. and the U.K.
As executive vice president of operations at Whole Foods Market, Ken Meyer oversees day-to-day operations, development, design and innovation at existing stores, and for stores in the company’s development pipeline in the U.S. and the U.K. He also oversees the global culinary and hospitality team and the global supply chain and retail operations support team.
Meyer is an organic and natural foods retail veteran with more than 20 years of industry experience. He joined Whole Foods Market in January 1996, when the company acquired Fresh Fields. Through the years, Meyer has held multiple Whole Foods Market leadership roles, including store team leader, vice president of the Southwest Region and president of the South and Mid-Atlantic regions. He holds a bachelor’s degree in food systems and economic management from Michigan State University.
Meyer serves on the Whole Kids Foundation board of directors and is an adviser for Modern Farmer. He is a member of Whole Foods Market’s executive team with John Mackey, Glenda Flanagan, A.C. Gallo, Jim Sud, David Lannon and Jason Buechel.
