James Parker has been working in the produce business since age 16. The Mississippi native joined Whole Foods Market in 1986, initially focusing on the produce department’s design and merchandising, helping open more than 60 stores at Whole Foods Market. James is a passionate advocate of fresh, good food and is the go-to resource on the produce team for variety and seasonality information. He strives for sustainability in both his business dealings and the products he secures for Whole Foods Market shoppers. James now lives in California where he serves as the facility team leader for the Produce and Floral Global Purchasing Team.
