The Marlboro location will be home to the 11th Whole Foods Market store in New Jersey, and the second in Monmouth County. The day will start with the company’s traditional bread breaking ceremony at 8:30 am followed by an array of tastings, vendor samplings, sales, giveaways, and other events for the whole family!
As part of Whole Foods Market’s continued commitment to its local communities, the store is proud to dedicate 5% of opening day net sales to the Shade Tree Committee in support of the forthcoming first community garden in Marlboro Township. Whole Foods Market will act as a resource throughout the community garden’s development and support family-friendly community collaborations such as classes at the garden and in the Whole Foods Market Marlboro Community café. This community garden and partnership will serve as a space for locals to learn about composting, organic gardening, healthy eating and more! Whole Foods Market will also be a part of the garden’s groundbreaking ceremony.
The new store will boast 40,000 square feet of retail space, offering an extensive variety of the highest quality natural and organic items making it the ultimate shopping destination for all of your household’s needs. Conveniently located and easily accessible on the intersection of Route 9 South and Newman Springs Road, shoppers can expect to see favorites like seasonal and fresh produce and unique in-store venues that will satisfy the needs of every member of the family.
Each department will host a series of new, delicious and nutritious offerings like fresh pressed juices and raw coconut water in Produce, ideal for the health-conscious shoppers; a special gluten free pasta venue featuring seasonal pastas is an easy dinner option for families with gluten sensitive kids; and a farmstand fishery outdoor seafood market celebrating the bevy of locally sourced seafood will help make summer grilling a breeze this year. To satisfy the sweet tooth or meat-lover in the family, the Marlboro store is also home to unique venues like Danish, Donuts and Buns featuring in-house baked goods from the Bakery Team and a Barbeque Bar in the store’s Prepared Foods department highlighting house-made barbeque dishes and regionally inspired sides like Texas beef, North Carolina pulled pork, and much more!
