Rob Twyman began his natural foods career in 1983, working at Bread & Circus in Wellesley, MA, as a summer job. Several years after graduating from Indiana University, Rob started a fast (natural) foods restaurant in San Francisco which he ran for a few years before joining Whole Foods Market as a prepared foods team member in Mill Valley, CA in 1993.
Over the past eighteen years, Rob’s commitment to natural foods, tenacity and passion led him across the country with Whole Foods Market working at various stores, in various leadership positions, including store team leader at seven stores - three of which were high-volume stores in New York City - until he became the Northeast regional vice president in 2007.
Rob’s teams are known for their dedication to training and development, retail excellence and innovation. He says he has enjoyed every minute of working at Whole Foods Market as he has been able to do what he enjoys the most: helping to nurture and grow the next generation leadership team while making a broader impact on the company.
“Work hard and make time for family, friends, food and fun” is Rob’s motto. When he’s not at Whole Foods Market, Rob spends quality time with his wife and twin sons, cycles as much as possible and loves to photograph food.
