The 31,513 square foot store located at 880 Main Street in Melrose, Mass employs 125 full and part time local team members and is the company’s 24th location serving Massachusetts.
In addition to the thousands of high quality natural and organic grocery, dairy, produce, seafood and body care products on their shelves, Whole Foods Market Melrose also boasts a full butcher shop with meat cutters on staff with a combined 94 years of experience, a specialty department complete with charcuterie and fresh, cut-to-order pastas, a pizza oven with a dedicated phone line in the bakery department that allows customers to call in orders, as well as a bulk department featuring a broad selection of dried beans, nuts, dried fruits and grains.
The chef-run prepared foods department will be serving cold and hot, restaurant-quality options from breakfast through dinner, as well as soup, rotisserie chickens, sandwiches, made-in-store sushi and convenient pre-packaged meals to go.
To mark this grand opening in Melrose and in keeping with their commitment to healthy eating education, Whole Foods Market is proud to partner with the Whole Kids Foundation to donate a salad bar to the Melrose Veterans Memorial Middle School.
