Mary Guiver

Mary Guiver has had a long career with Whole Foods Market, beginning in the Whole Foods Market Produce Office in California over seventeen years ago. In 2008 she joined the Specialty Team in Oakland, CA and moved into the Beer Buyer role within a year. She eventually moved on to Regional Beer, Wine and Spirits Buyer for Northern California before moving to Austin, TX in 2015. As the Principal Category Merchant for Beer, she is committed to customer-focused decisions, and a continued emphasis on craft and local beer as well as innovation categories, with a steadfast commitment to consumer demand, supplier partnerships, and industry-leading quality standards. Her role also encompasses the trending non-alcoholic beer category, as well as the growing cider category. She is an expert in her field and was named an Honorary Knight of the Belgium Knighthood of the Brewers Paddle/Fork. She is a passionate advocate for women in the beer industry both at work and in her free time.
