AUSTIN, Texas (Nov. 14, 2014) – The World Cheese Awards may not have a red carpet, but the 20 year-old competition does bring in the biggest and best names in cheese. At the largest cheese competition in the world, 3,000 entries are expected. Whole Foods Market global cheese buyer Cathy Strange is London-bound to join the supreme judging group with the top 10 judges to help name the World Champion 2014.

“As global cheese buyer, I taste cheeses every day from Italy’s famed Parmigiano Reggiano to farmstead cheddars in Wisconsin,” said Strange. “Judging hundreds of cheeses in a competition can be a challenge that requires focus and immense attention to detail – it’s important to give each cheese and cheesemaker a fair assessment. I’m honored to have been selected as one of the judges at this year’s World Cheese Awards.”
