Bill leads operations across Amazon’s Worldwide Grocery Stores, including Whole Foods Market, Amazon Fresh and Amazon Go. He is responsible for driving operations strategy, including improving the employee and customer experiences, operational excellence, and financial results. Bill brings more than 37 years of grocery retail experience to his current role, including eight years as President of Whole Foods Market’s nine-state Rocky Mountain Region.
He began his career as a courtesy clerk at Mrs. Gooch’s, a business that Whole Foods Market acquired in 1993. Additionally, he has served as an Associate Store Team Leader, a regional Grocery Coordinator, and as a Regional Vice President of Operations and Purchasing for 16 years in the Southern Pacific Region. Bill is a three-time Whole Foods Market Global All Star and a three-time Regional All Star.
