Since 2017, Erica has served as a Senior Culinary Program Manager on the Culinary Development team for Whole Foods Market. The Bakery Culinary Development Team oversees bakery innovation for seasonal items and everyday programming. With more than 20 years of experience in the food industry, Erica has a deep passion for the craft of baking and the hospitality industry. Before working at Whole Foods Market, she managed restaurants and worked in artisan chocolate and in specialty foods. From there, she formed her own baking company, Frenchie’s, which sold a wide variety of pastries through local farmers markets and wholesale outlets. During that time, her croissants were featured in the Washington Post and Food & Wine. Erica currently resides in Washington, DC and serves on the James Beard Foundation Awards Committee. When she is not testing new bakery recipes, Erica enjoys hiking through parks and trails with her family and dog, Sonny.
