Jody Villecco is responsible for researching, coordinating and maintaining the Quality Standards at Whole Foods Market. Her duties include developing and communicating the company’s Quality Standards, keeping the company current with nutritional and regulatory issues, reviewing health claims, and supporting the marketing and media relations teams. Jody started with Whole Foods Market in 1997, working for the dietary supplement arm Amrion where she formulated nutritional supplement products, compiled research summaries and conducted nationwide training sessions on nutrition and herbs. Previously, Jody was a nutritionist in private practice where she counseled patients and taught nutrition classes to children, adults and new moms. She has appeared on national television and has done many interviews with top-tier publications on nutrition topics. Jody received her degree in nutritional sciences from Cornell and a master’s in nutritional anthropology from the University of Colorado.
