LOS ANGELES, CA (March 23, 2012) – Whole Foods Market's Los Angeles is setting the stage at Barcode Studio in Culver City for an event that will have taste buds singing, beats bumping and guests jiving — all for a great cause. On Saturday, March 31, 2012, Whole Foods Market Los Angeles stores invites guests to “make good,” and enjoy themselves while doing so. Make Good Los Angeles aims to celebrate empowerment around the world and benefit the Whole Planet Foundation. From 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., ticket holders will experience an evening of global sensations with a bountiful selection of food from abroad, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and music from around the world. The community is invited to purchase tickets for the event at https://MakeGoodLosAngeles.eventbrite.com.

“This year for the Whole Planet Foundation's Annual Prosperity Campaign we're going full force, with the goal of helping to change the lives of one million people,” said Lena Pereira, marketing supervisor for Whole Foods Market West Los Angeles. “Whole Foods Market is working to make a difference in alleviating poverty around the world, and by celebrating empowerment through the Make Good Los Angeles event, I believe we will be able to do so. Our internationally inspired menu for the night represents many of the countries and locations we hope to affect.”

Included in the cost of each ticket is an explosion of delicious flavors that will be offered to guests, including Indian street food, local oysters, French macaroons, gourmet ice-cream treats and more. To pair with each food item, Whole Foods Market Los Angeles will have both non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages available for guests, including an assortment of beer, wine and sake.

While guests take a tasty trip around the world, they can also jam to beats played by a few of Los Angeles' finest entertainers, including Tom Schnabel and Garth Trinidad, a producer and deejay for KCRW.

Pre-sale tickets are currently available for purchase by guests 21 years and older at https://MakeGoodLosAngeles.eventbrite.com for $20 per ticket until the day of the event. Tickets will also available at the door for $25 per ticket.
