AUSTIN, Texas (April 8, 2019) – Whole Foods Market is once again celebrating spring with its Sommelier Best in Class Rosé Wine promotion. Devon Broglie, Master Sommelier, Doug Bell, global senior coordinator of beverage for Whole Foods Market, and Category Managers Katherine Wallace and Joseph Kaulbach have identified 10 rosé wines perfect for all occasions, and they are all on sale nationally at special prices through May 28.

“This spring we’ve pulled together an innovative variety of rosé wines that really showcase how the category has grown since we became one of the first national retailers to recognize its potential and showcase it on our shelves,” said Devon Broglie, Master Sommelier and Global Beverage Buyer for Whole Foods Market. “This year we are debuting a unique rosé from winemaking legend Charles Bieler we loved so much we bought the whole batch. In addition, we wanted to highlight a few options that really showcase the continued growth of alternative packaging, including Presto, a canned sparkling rosé that’s been so popular we’ve sold through tens of thousands of cases since it launched in our stores in 2016.”

This spring’s selection of rosé also includes King Rabbit Rosé, made from Cinsault, a grape variety from the South of France, giving the wine aromas of ripe strawberries and sweet raspberries with a fresh and juicy flavor on the palate. Its packaging featuring the signature rabbit makes it a must buy for Easter brunch. In addition, Pool Boy makes its return to shelves after exploding in popularity and selling out in 2018. Made with an easy blend of grenache and pinot noir that keeps it as fresh and light-hearted as the label suggests, its PET plastic bottle makes it the perfect option to bring to the pool to pair with burgers and fries, or barbecue.
