AUSTIN, Texas (July 1, 2013) – Spend less time in the kitchen and more time entertaining in the backyard this Independence Day with a little help from Whole Foods Market. Today in all U.S. stores, the grocer debuts Creamy Chocolate-Avocado Dip, the grand prize winner in a company team member dip contest. Produce buyer Justin Weisensel and healthy eating specialist Curtis Whitwam at the Whole Foods Market in Tampa worked together on the summertime dip creation.

Creamy Chocolate-Avocado Dip features fresh avocado and raw, unsweetened cacao. This sweet dip is not only a delicious addition to a fruit platter, but it meets the grocer’s Health Starts Here standards, meaning it has no added sugars or oils. It can be found in the cut fruit and vegetable section of the produce department.

Save time and keep Fourth of July fun going by grabbing classic sides like potato, macaroni and pasta salads prepared fresh in the kitchens at Whole Foods Market. Complement grilled favorites with fresh, lean side dishes starring whole grains and seasonal vegetables to stay cool on hot summer nights by the grill. All side dish items are made with the highest quality ingredients and without artificial flavorings, colorings, preservatives, hydrogenated oils or high fructose corn syrup.
