AUSTIN, Texas (June 19, 2012) – We hold these truths to be self-evident: that Independence Day means grill-outs;  that food is tastiest when it’s shared with friends and family; and that with a few tips from the experts, everyone can grill like a pro.

To get those expert tips, amateur and experienced grillers alike can tune to Ustream on Monday, June 25, from 6-7 p.m. CDT. Whole Foods Market’s global chef, Derek Sarno, and global meat buyer, Becky Faudree, are teaming up to explain how to pick the perfect grilling meats for your budget, how to cook them, and what to serve on the side.

In addition to offering tips like how to season, marinate and brine to infuse and capture flavors, Sarno and Faudree will demonstrate how to make mouth-watering:

·        Grilled skirt steak

·        Beef short ribs

·        Asian-style brick chicken

…plus some vegetarian options and hints for a healthy cookout.

Of course, what’s a barbecue without a refreshing brew to wash it down? Whole Foods Market’s experts will offer first-hand reviews of the suds they love to sip during their own grill-outs.

Viewers can ask questions during the demo via a synchronized Twitter chat by following and tweeting questions to the hash tag #WFMgrilling.
