WILMINGTON, NC (May 10, 2012) Whole Foods Market (NASDAQ: WFM) announces it will open its doors Wednesday, May 23 at 9 a.m. in the Oleander Place shopping center at 3804 Oleander Drive.

Whole Foods Market will offer an early look at its newest North Carolina store with sneak-preview tours. For a $5 donation to Dreams of Wilmington and Good Shepherd Center, curious customers can take a tour of the new store at a specified time slot. Tours are scheduled between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday, May 20, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, May 21.

Tour attendees will be the first to get a glimpse of the new store and learn about some of its highlights and features, taste samples in each department, and will also receive a goodie bag. The store opens for business Wednesday, May 23 at 9 a.m. immediately following a free breakfast in the parking lot at 8:00 AM and a bread-breaking ceremony with Mayor Bill Saffo at 8:30.
