BOCA RATON, Fla. – In keeping with one of its Core Values – caring for communities – Whole Foods Market Boca Raton partners with a local non-profit organization once per quarter, to which 5 percent of the day’s net sales are donated.

The store recently partnered with Gumbo Limbo Nature Center to raise $7,790 to contribute to Gumbo Limbo’s marine conservation efforts. The Center goes to great lengths to educate visitors on the importance of maintaining the sanctity of our oceans, which in line with Whole Foods’ commitment to Seafood Sustainability.

Whole Foods Market will continue its support of Gumbo Limbo on Nov. 8 during the preserve’s fifth annual Sea Coast Toast event.  The evening under the stars affords the community an opportunity to celebrate Gumbo Limbo Nature Center’s efforts to support coastal and marine education, conservation, preservation and research.

The event offers an exciting evening of food, drink, music and auctions – with all proceeds going directly to grow and maintain Gumbo Limbo Nature Center's educational and conservation programs.
