NEW YORK, N.Y. (Nov. 12, 2025)  Whole Foods Market will open two more locations of its smaller format store concept, Whole Foods Market Daily Shop, before the end of the year. The first location, a 7,888 square foot store located at 774 Grand Street, Brooklyn, N.Y., will open at 8:00 a.m. on December 11. The second location, a 4,841 square foot store located at 101 Washington Street in Hoboken, N.J., will open at 8:00 a.m. December 18. The Hoboken store will be the first Daily Shop location in New Jersey. Both locations are designed to bring fresh, high-quality ingredients to customers with a convenience that fits their fast-paced urban lifestyles.

Whole Foods Market has opened four Daily Shop locations since 2024, including three in the New York City area and one in Arlington, Va., which opened this past October. A nine-month analysis based on internal data showed that 42% of shoppers at the Lenox Hill store – which just celebrated its one year anniversary this past September – between September 2024 and May 2025 were either new or re-engaged Whole Foods Market customers that hadn’t shopped at other New York City metro Whole Foods Market locations in the same period the prior year, proving the concept is successful at driving new business to the retailer. Berries, grapes, and avocados are among the top-selling items at all Daily Shop locations so far. Ready-to-eat foods are also a major draw, led by rotisserie chickens.

The two newest stores will feature Whole Foods Market favorites, including an ample selection of fresh, seasonal produce, meat and seafood; prepared foods options, including sandwiches, pre-packed meals and breads; and supplements, as well as a handpicked range of local specialties and 365 by Whole Foods Market brand products.

Features and product assortment at the Brooklyn and Hoboken stores include:

  • More than 350 local products from 250 Northeast-based suppliers, including New York-based favorites such as whipped cream from Whipnotic, cookies from Wandel and labneh from Bezi, and New Jersey-based favorites like pasta sauce from Hoboken Farms and quinoa crisps from Undercover Snacks.
  • Prepared foods options include hot rotisserie chicken, entree salads, sandwiches and seasonal favorites, including cream of mushroom soup and buffalo chicken flatbreads.
  • Expansive meat assortment featuring a variety of convenient grab-and-go offerings, including steaks, marinated meats and sausage. Local products include boneless skinless chicken breasts from Bell & Evans, Organic Chicken Apple Breakfast Sausage from Bilinski and Lamb Merguez Sausage from Brooklyn Cured.
  • Seasonal bakery items from the Whole Foods Market Kitchens brand, including Ginger Spice Pound Cake, Orange Cranberry Doughnut Muffins, North Pole Shortbread Cookies and Brown Butterscotch Pretzel Cookies. Local bakery brands include Junior’s, Balthazar, Bread Alone Bakery and New Yorker Bagels.
  • Extensive artisanal cheese selection, featuring holiday specialty cheeses perfect for entertaining and charcuterie, along with a large assortment of specialty products, including pesto from Gotham Greens, Creme Fraiche from Vermont Creamery and sliced Bresola from Brooklyn Cured.

Opening morning at both locations, customers will enjoy samples from local suppliers, and the first 300 customers in line will also receive a limited-edition tote bag.

As part of its ongoing commitment to supporting local communities, Whole Foods Market will make food donations to Table to Table and City Harvest, through the company’s Nourishing Our Neighborhoods program, which aims to enhance the ability of local food rescue organizations to transport surplus food to areas facing the greatest need. Whole Foods Market will also donate to area organizations in New Jersey, including The Hoboken Shelter and Hoboken Community Center, as well as Trinity Human Services in New York City.
