Tigard, Oregon. — On Tuesday, September 1st Whole Foods Market’s Bridgeport location will be donating approx 4000 pounds of food to the Tualatin School House Pantry.
As part of the ‘Summer of Sharing’ Food Drive, Whole Foods Market customers can purchase a special $8.50 bag of the pantry’s most requested items. The bags are available now until the end of August, with each bag containing 4.3 pounds of food and daily necessities.
“We are so proud to partner with the Tualatin School House Pantry,” said Megan Hornbeak, marketing specialist for Whole Foods Market. “We love to support our local community and what better way than providing food for those in need.”
Tualatin School House Pantry is a community organized food bank that includes local churches, businesses, social and civic organizations, individuals, the City of Tualatin and the Tigard/Tualatin School district.
This food drive is also a celebration of the new home of the Tualatin School House Pantry which will relocate on August 17, 2009 at their new location on the lower level of Rolling Hills Community Church. You will find them at 3550 SW Borland Road, Tualatin.
Last month the Tualatin School House Pantry served more than 440 families, more than a 30% increase over last year.
