AUSTIN, Texas (Feb. 24, 2021) – Whole Foods Market today announced the completion of its acquisition of Jackson Whole Grocer, an independent grocer in Jackson, Wyoming. Whole Foods Market has offered positions to as many qualified Jackson Whole Grocer employees as possible, and the store will remain open as it transitions to a Whole Foods Market store.
“We are excited to expand our presence into Wyoming,” said Bill Jordan, Regional President of the Rocky Mountain Region at Whole Foods Market. “We look forward to getting to know the Jackson community – including residents and visitors – and providing them with products that all meet Whole Foods Market’s unparalleled quality standards, as well as a destination to discover new flavors and local items unique to this area.”
To celebrate joining the Jackson community, Whole Foods Market will donate $25,000 to the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole and become a Co-Challenger for the 25th Annual Old Bill’s Fun Run in support of local nonprofits.
All food at Whole Foods Market must meet the company’s rigorous quality standards, which prohibit hydrogenated fats, high-fructose corn syrup and over 100 preservatives, flavors, colors, sweeteners and other ingredients commonly found in food. In addition, all beauty and body care products must meet the company’s body care standards, which ban more than 100 commonly used ingredients, including phthalates, parabens and microbeads.
Amazon Prime members who shop at Whole Foods Market have access to a number of benefits year-round, like exclusive discounts on select popular products and an additional 10% off hundreds of in-store sale items. Curbside pickup is also available at all Whole Foods Market locations. While Prime member benefits and curbside pickup won’t be available immediately at the Jackson location, Whole Foods Market is working to make them available as quickly as possible as the store transitions.
