AUSTIN, Texas (November 1, 2018) – Whole Foods Market today revealed its annual list of Sommelier Best in Class Holiday Wines for the holiday season. Devon Broglie, Master Sommelier and the global beverage buying team identified a robust selection of 21 wines, including 9 beautiful sparkling wines, to pair with holiday flavors for any festive occasion. This meticulously curated selection of wines offers something for everyone at a variety of price points.

Among this year’s selection is an excellent rosé from Oyster Bay that’s perfect for Thanksgiving dinner. The 2018 vintage will mark the first Oyster Bay Rosé ever seen in the United States, available for just $13.99. A second noteworthy wine, 5th & Bowie Bourbon Barrel Aged Cabernet Sauvignon, highlights the growing bourbon barrel-aged trend, featuring smooth and silky caramel and vanilla flavors that are well balanced and delicious. Shoppers will be able to grab a bottle for less than $20 for a limited time only.

“The holidays are here and this year we’ve pulled together one of the more robust selections of holiday wines in recent memory, with a number of bottles hand-selected to pair with flavors and festivities associated with Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s,” said Devon Broglie, Master Sommelier and Global Beverage Buyer for Whole Foods Market. “From Jacques Bardelot Brut Champagne for ringing in the New Year, to an exquisite Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon from Criterion that’s ideal for gifting, we’ve got you covered for any occasion and budget.”
