ROCKVILLE, Md. (Oct. 6, 2015) – Whole Foods Market’s Newport News, Virginia, store will open Nov. 4, at 12080 Jefferson Ave., in the Marketplace at Tech Center.
The approximately 40,000-square-foot store will be the company’s 12th location in Virginia and its 49th in the Mid-Atlantic Region. Opening day festivities will kick off with a bread-breaking ceremony at 8:45 am.
“We’re growing to better serve the Greater Hampton Roads area,” said Josh Spille, the store’s team leader. “From unique, local products to your everyday grocery staples, we’re here to help you find a new favorite. We can’t wait to serve our customers here in Newport News, whether it’s their first time in a Whole Foods Market, or if they’re longtime customers. The countdown to November 4th is on.”
Core values are at the center of Whole Foods Market’s mission, earning it the name “America’s Healthiest Grocery Store.” In addition to offering the highest quality natural and organic products, including seasonal, locally sourced produce, sustainable seafood and high-quality meat and poultry–free of artificial flavors, colors, sweeteners, preservatives and hydrogenated oils–Whole Foods Market Newport News will feature:
• A pub with an oyster bar – featuring everything from raw to char-grilled to fried–with a variety of Virginia oysters, including the exclusive Whole Foods Market oyster, the Salty Hog.
