North Vancouver, Canada (March 7, 2018) –  Whole Foods Market will open its doors in North Vancouver, BC on Thursday, April 26. The 40,479-square-foot store, located in Central Lonsdale, is the 7th Whole Foods Market in British Columbia and the 14th in Canada.

Located at 120 13th Street E, North Vancouver, the new store will provide a broad selection of new and innovative local vendor products from BC, in addition to the more than 100 British Columbian vendors that Whole Foods Market already carries.

Every item sold in Whole Foods Market stores meets rigorous quality standards and is free of high-fructose corn syrup, hydrogenated fats and artificial colours, flavours, preservatives and sweeteners. Whole Foods Market maintains a list of over 400 unacceptable ingredients which are banned from food products sold, and an additional list of over 75 ingredients which are not allowed in body care products. The North Vancouver store also brings Whole Foods Market’s signature customer service excellence to British Columbia, ranging from full-service butchers and fishmongers who can help custom cut or prep ingredients, to certified cheesemongers and produce experts. Since 2011, North Vancouver schools have also received ten Whole Kids Foundation Garden Grants totaling $20,000 USD.

“We are thrilled to bring Whole Foods Market to the heart of North Vancouver” said Angela Lorenzen, Whole Foods Market Regional President for the Pacific Northwest. “Our shared ethos around health, wellness, and the area’s breathtaking beauty make this a natural fit. We look forward to serving as a new gathering place for the local community, and being a part of its growth and expansion for years to come.”
