The 40,000 square foot store located in the Pleasant Shops Plaza at 35 Pleasant Street in South Weymouth, Mass employs 140 full and part time team members and joins the Hingham location as the second Whole Foods Market serving the south shore.

The south shore’s finest cheese shop can be found in the new South Weymouth location. Additionally, the store boasts fresh squeezed-in-store fruit and vegetable juices in the produce department, expanded men’s body care with supplements, pet and baby care sections with gifts galore for mom and baby, as well as a “Cooking South Weymouth” educational culinary station to complement the selection of bulk offerings, which includes dried beans, grains, nuts, dried fruit and sprouted options.
Quick and convenient meal options abound in the chef-run prepared foods department, including the “Grass Fed Grill” serving up made-to-order burgers and hot dogs as well as vegan options and hand cut fries. Bountiful hot and cold bars are complemented by dim sum, sushi, fresh panini, sandwiches made-to-order and rotisserie chickens.
The bakery department features classic chocolate, plain and apple cider donuts made fresh in-store, a pizza oven with a dedicated phone line for take-out orders and a soft serve gelato machine injecting cupcakes, cannoli and whoopie pies with a cool shot of creamy gelato.
To mark this grand opening in South Weymouth and in keeping with their commitment to healthy eating education, Whole Foods Market is proud to partner with the Whole Kids Foundation to donate a salad bar to the Abigail Adams Middle School in Weymouth.
