Whole Foods Market’s first Brooklyn, N.Y., store, at 214 3rd Street, opens at 9 a.m. today, following a bread-breaking ceremony and remarks from local and company officials.

The grand opening event includes product giveaways, live music, samples and special sales. The store’s first 250 shoppers will receive a special edition Third & 3rd canvas tote.

The 56,000-square-foot store features a rooftop tap room and restaurant, a take-out venue from noted ramen chef Yuji Hariguchi, and a 20,000-square-foot rooftop greenhouse built in partnership with Gotham Greens.
