As part of Whole Foods Market’s Feed 4 More program, the natural and organic grocer, in partnership with Harvest Drive of Broward County, will be loading two truckloads of non-perishable food items tomorrow, Dec. 19, at 8:30 a.m. The loading will take place at the Whole Foods Market Distribution Center, located at 2700 NW. 19th St., Pompano Beach.
Harvest Drive will pick up these food items from the Distribution Center and deliver them before Christmas to Broward County schools and food banks, who will then be able to provide meals to families in need this holiday season.
Customers from Whole Foods Market stores in Pembroke Pines, Plantation, Coral Springs and Ft. Lauderdale generously donated $10,125 worth of meals (1,565 customer donations) to support local families of the community.
Customers purchased $5, $10 and $25 breakfast, lunch and dinner meals of non-perishable foods. Items featured include Mac & Cheese, Vegetable Soup, Peanut Butter, Applesauce, Oatmeal and more. All funds collected during the Feed 4 More program were donated to The Harvest Drive in an effort to combat hunger in our community.
