(PORT CHESTER, NY – October 15, 2013) – On Tuesday, October 22, 2013, Whole Foods Market (NASDAQ: WFM), the world’s leading natural and organic foods supermarket, will be opening the doors to its 365th store and newest location in Port Chester, New York. The retailer’s third store in Westchester County is situated at 575 Boston Post Road, conviently located at the intersection of interstates 95 & 287. As is tradition for Whole Foods Market grand opening celebrations, the day will commence with a bread breaking ceremony at 8:30am followed by a full day of delicious samples, giveaways and exciting special offers including:
- The first 365 customers arriving will receive a special edition Whole Foods Market Port Chester Reusable tote
- The first 100 customers to make a purchase will receive a free 365 Everyday Value item handed out at the register.
In addition to these deals, Whole Foods Market Port Chester will be donating 5 percent of total sales from opening day to The Port Chester Carver Center. Founded in 1943, the Center offers programs and resources designed to meet the educational, recreational, cultural and civic needs of community members, with a particular focus on meeting the needs of underprivileged youth.
At 49,000 square feet, the Port Chester store will offer an extensive variety of the highest quality natural and organic items. Customers can expect to find an assortment of wholesome goods including fresh seasonal produce and local favorites of the area. Additionally, as the company’s 365th store, Whole Foods Market Port Chester will offer a 25% discount on Whole Foods Market’s private label 365 Everyday Value® line of products on opening day.

Other store features will include a juice bar to make fresh juices and in-house morning bagel and waffle-making stations, plus freshly baked flavored cornbread. The Prepared Foods section will host a variety of in-store venues including Fire & Pollo, a wood-grilled, Latin-inspired chicken venue, Roman and Neapolitan Pizzas made in-house, a Chopped, Topped and Wrapped salad station, and more, while the Grocery Department will showcase bulk frozen fruit and vegetables to make at-home smoothie preparation a breeze. The Meat department will offer in-house smoked meats and the store’s seafood department will be rolling out a special select, seal and serve fresh meal solution kit.
