CHICAGO (Sept. 10, 2018) – Whole Foods Market will open its new 48,000 square-foot Vernon Hills store, located in the Mellody Farm complex at 851 N. Milwaukee Ave., at 9 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 3. The first 500 customers through the doors will receive a Whole Foods Market gift card with a mystery value ranging between $5 and $50; with one lucky customer receiving a $500 gift card. The opening day festivities will include sampling and fun for all ages.

Every item sold in the store meets Whole Foods Market’s rigorous quality standards and is free of artificial flavors, colors, sweeteners, preservatives and hydrogenated fats.
The 48,000 square foot store will offer a selection of grab-and-go prepared foods, grocery items and unique venues including:
- Full-service Allegro coffee bar
- Selection of locally grown and produced items
- Made-in-house sushi, sandwiches and hand-stretched neopolitan-style pizza
- In-store scratch bakery offering freshly made breads and baked goods
- Expansive beer and wine selections featuring Midwest favorites
- Amazon Lockers for convenient package pick up and returns
The Vernon Hills store will also feature a yet-to-be unveiled dining venue and an exclusive partnership with a Twin Cities favorite.
Whole Foods Market Vernon Hills will employ approximately 150 locally hired, full and part time team members. The store will be open from 8am – 10pm, daily.
