Whole Foods Market’s newest Austin store will open at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, at the Domain shopping center.

Opening-day festivities get under way at 7:30 a.m., with a bread-breaking ceremony and remarks from Mark Dixon, president of Whole Foods Market’s Southwest Region, and Lindsay Mucha, the Domain store’s team leader.

The store’s first 500 shoppers will each receive a reusable bag stuffed with 365 Everyday Value™ products. Throughout the day, shoppers can enjoy storewide tastings, samples from local vendors, a photo booth, special sales, giveaways and live music.

In its opening week, the Domain store will hold five community-giving days. One percent of sales from each day will benefit an Austin nonprofit: Jewish Community Center of Austin on Jan. 15, Emancipet on Jan. 16, Austin Creative Reuse on Jan. 17, Girlstart on Jan. 18, and Back on My Feet on Jan. 19.

The store is Whole Foods Market’s fifth location in its hometown. Details on opening-week events are available at wholefoodsmarket.com/stores/domain.
